McGrory, ABCNews’ Douglass Highlight WPCF Dinner

While the rest of the country focuses on the Grammys, Golden Globes, and Oscars, Washington’s own red carpet season kicks off tonight with the Washington Press Club Foundation’s Congressional Dinner.

If you’re anywhere in the vicinity of Marriott on Pennsylvania Avenue, prepare to be dazzled by the paparazzi lining up outside to catch a glimpse of tonight’s headliners: Senator Dick Durbin and House Majority Leader Tom Delay. Lynn Sweet wrote up the backstory in the Hill earlier this week.

Tonight’s 61st annual dinner will feature ABCNews’ Linda Douglas as the emcee and see the organization (a descendent of the Women’s National Press Club) give Mary McGrory its first lifetime achievement award.
