Some stats from NBC’s “Year in Review” bragging about powerhouse “Meet the Press”:

  • “For the 2006 calendar year, ‘Meet the Press’ outperforms CBS by 33%, ABC by 51% and Fox by 183%”

  • “In Washington, D.C., the NBC program tops CBS and ABC combined”

  • “For the year, ‘Meet the Press’ averaged 3.768 million total viewers.”

  • In D.C.: “During 2006, ‘Meet the Press’ averaged a 3.5 rating and a 10 share, CBS was second with a 2.1/6, FOX was third with a 1.6/5 and ABC was last with a 1.2/4.”

  • “In homes nationally, ‘Meet the Press” was also No. 1, posting a 2.8 rating and an eight share. CBS followed with a 2.1/6, ABC trailed with a 1.9/6 and FOX was last with a 1.0/3 during the calendar year.”

  • “Among the key demographic adults 25-54, ‘Meet the Press’ also beat the competition, averaging a 1.1 rating during 2006, 22% more than CBS’ 0.9 rating, a 38% lead over ABC’s 0.8 and 175% more than FOX’s 0.4 rating.”
