Last Tuesday,The Atlantic hosted its annual State of the Union reception at the Library of Congress Great Hall. The reception, held immediately prior to the President’s address, drew a large crowd including more than 65 Members of Congress, as well as members of the Administration, senior Capitol Hill staff, and leaders from lobbying, media, and political circles. This year’s event, hosted by The Atlantic as well as National Journal Group (publishers of National Journal, The Hotline, CongressDaily and Government Executive), was sponsored by Allstate, Altria, GM, and United Technologies.
