Ahh, there’s nothing quite like pettiness for the sheer sake of pettiness, is there?
NPR has banned its “Weekend Morning Edition” host Scott Simon from appearing on the new show by Bob Edwards on XM satellite radio, according to the Reliable Source. Simon’s in a the middle of a publicity tour for his new novel Pretty Birds and was all set to appear on XM’s “The Bob Edwards Show” until NPR stepped in and nixed it.
While the network cites a policy of not letting its talent appear on competing shows, NPR’s Susan Stamberg sat for an hour-long interview that will air today.
NPR’s spokesperson says that interview was taped BEFORE the new policy was adopted.
