Podesta Group to Host Party for ‘Hacks and Flacks’ at ‘Sh-t House’
Good: The Podesta Group, a friendly bunch, is hosting a “hacks and flacks” happy hour later this week. Questionable: The locale is the “Scheiss Haus,” which, if you add an “e” to the tale end of the word (which is written as such on the bar’s website) means sh-t in German. This makes the event’s official location: the “Sh-t House.”
“I’m sure it was intended as a joke,” said a Pour House manager who answered the phone this afternoon, pretty foggy on how the downstairs bar got its name.
Now we’ll get mature: The Scheiss Haus is located in the downstairs level of the Pour House on Pennsylvania Avenue.
