Post Picks New Design Director For Style

From their announcement:

We’re thrilled to announce that Martha Wright is the new Design Director for Style.

Martha joined Style as a copy editor in 2004 and rapidly demonstrated great skill as a copy editor and then as a page designer. Most recently, as an assistant news editor, she’s been the creative force behind such terrific design as the Sunday Arts package on YouTube.

In this new role, she’ll lead our charge to take the visual presentation of Style and Arts to new heights. That means continuing to design some pages of her own, energizing reporters and editors to think about art, photos and graphics early and often, helping manage those who design pages in Style, and working with the News Art Department, the News Desk and the Photo Department to give readers enticing, exciting, revolutionary pages.

She’ll officially start her new job on March 1st.
