RC-CQ Changes: Merry Out, Mills Upped and Layoffs
Roll Call‘s acquisition of Congressional Quarterly wasn’t the only news announced at CQ‘s staff meeting this morning. Robert Merry, president of the pub. announced that after 22 years with CQ, he will not be joining his staff under the Economist umbrella. Roll Call‘s Mike Mills was promoted to editorial director over the new, combined newsroom. Lastly, the “few” CQ staffers that are not being offered positions under Roll Call‘s rule have already been informed.
