Roll Call Shuffles Singer and Ackley
Roll Call Associate Editor Paul Singer has been promoted to editor of the news group’s newly established reporting team that includes lobbying, ethics and investigations. Kate Ackley, who has been serving as the team’s transitional editor, will return to her beat as lobbying reporter.
In an internal memo announcing the shuffle, Scott Montgomery said “Paul brings to this new role his terrific investigative writing and editing skills, as well as his creative vitality. Under his guidance, I’m eager to see Roll Call further distinguish itself with high-impact enterprise journalism on money and influence in Washington.”
Roll Call is currently on the hunt for an investigative reporter to fill the spot vacated by Singer.
