Say Hello To Al-Jazeera

After lots and lots of delays, Al-Jazeera International makes its debut today, with much of the reporting coming out of their 125-person D.C. bureau.

The Post’s Paul Farhi profiles the network’s “most prominent American face,” former ABC newsman Dave Marash.

How does Marash respond to criticism that he should not have taken a job with a network that many consider to be anti-American? “He was out of a job.”

Will it be different? Totally. “What’s more, he promises, Al Jazeera English won’t be al-Jazeera.”

Does Farhi have a man crush on Marash? Possibly. “..affable, burly and possessed of gloriously resonant voice…”
