Scarborough Returns To The Times
Rowan Scarborough, who has been freelancing for the Washington Times in recent months, has returned to the Washington Times in an official capacity. From the paper’s internal announcement, obtained by FishbowlDC:
Folks:
Over the next few weeks you’ll see one familiar face returning to the newsroom, and one new one arriving as we continue to reshape our coverage:
*Rowan Scarborough is returning to the Times to reprise his role as a national security enterprise reporter. Rowan is an award- winning reporter, accomplished author and an unrivaled authority on national security. He starts on Monday.
*Ben Conery is joining us from Connecticut to become our Justice Department reporter, so we can spell Jerry Seper to focus full time on the I-team. Ben has captured numerous awards as a law enforcement reporter at the Waterbury Republican-American newspaper, including the ard from the New England Newspaper Association’ top awards for enterprise reporting and deadline reporting and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists’ first place award for general reporting. He starts June 10.
