Speculation Schmeculation

The speculation that the President might announce a Supreme Court nominee soon is already reaching a fever pitch. It may or may not have anything to do with changing the subject from the Karl Rove investigation, and may or may not be part of a calculated plan.

“If Bush names a nominee between July 26 and 28, as many advisers now predict…” –Washington Post, Sunday.

“GOP Allies Say Bush Is Close to Court Pick; Choice May Be Announced This Week” –Washington Post, Monday.
