    The soul of the place is gone…particularly now that [Deputy Bureau Chief Tom] McCarthy quit. We’re being run by a bunch of Chicago f*cks. So depressing.

And we received this tip in our tips box today:

    The LAT is REALLY looking for cuts. Today, for the first time in the 3 years since I left the LAT, my password for Factiva no longer works. Now I have to use my [REDACTED] account (which I’ve been avoiding doing because I can’t remember the username or password).
