Fox News Theatrical Director Producer Caught Rallying Crowd

A FNC producer with Griff Jenkins at the 9/12 protest in Washington has been busted by HuffPo for rallying the crowd behind the camera.

HuffPo confirmed that the producer, Heidi Noonan “has been disciplined” by FNC Washington Bureau Chief Bryan Boughton.

Sammon and Boughton Officially Upped at Fox News

Fox News has announced Bill Sammon Washington Managing Editor and Bryan Boughton Washington Bureau Chief. Sammon has some big shoes to fill- Brit Hume previously held this position.

Bill Sammon and Bryan Boughton Likely To Be Upped at Fox News

Fox News’ Washington deputy managing editor Bill Sammon is likely to be named vice president and managing editor to replace Brit Hume, as reported by Mike Allen this morning.

Playbook hears that Fox News Channel’s Washington Bureau is close to naming Bill Sammon vice president & managing editor and Fox veteran Bryan Boughton its Bureau Chief. Sammon, who joined Fox last year, replaces Brit Hume as Managing Editor, a title Hume held along with his anchor position until stepping down in 2008 for an analyst role with the network. DC sources say Sammon’s role will focus on editorial matters and Boughton’s will be nuts and bolts operational.

Boughton Becomes Fox Political Unit Director

FishbowlDC has learned that current FNC Washington Deputy Bureau Chief Bryan Boughton will be taking a sabbatical from his current position to serve as the Director of the Political Unit at FOX News in DC, working hand-in-hand with current team lead Dave Shott to drive coverage of the 2008 election. Additionally, FNC’s Major Garrett will be hitting the campaign trail to cover the candidates, partnering again with FNC Chief Political Correspondent Carl Cameron to bring the latest from the field.
