An NBC release announced that “Meet the Press” had “abnormal start times throughout the country last Sunday, July 8th due to Wimbledon tennis coverage on NBC. According to Nielsen Media Research data, the program was labeled a special, and therefore this edition of ‘Meet the Press’ will not be included in the week or season-to-date average.”
An ABC release announced, “According to Nielsen Media Research for Sunday, July 8, 2007, ABC News ‘This Week with George Stephanopoulos’ outperformed CBSs ‘Face the Nation’ in both Total Viewers and Among Adults 25-54. This is the 14th time this season ‘This Week’ beat ‘Face the Nation’ in the key Adults 25-54 demographic. It also marks the 12th time this season ‘This Week’ outperformed ‘Face’ in Total Viewers.”
