  • MSNBC’s First Read announces that “MSNBC and the South Carolina Democratic Party will host the first presidential primary debate on April 26 from South Carolina State University. The debate, which will air from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm ET on MSNBC, will also be carried on three NBC affiliates in South Carolina.” Variety reports, “An NBC News personality, likely Brian Williams, will both moderate and anchor the debate.”

  • Governing counts 46 states and the District of Columbia in which Larry Sabato was quoted in 2006. He hit 21 in January alone.

  • E&P reports that Philadelphia Inquirer business reporter Joe DiStefano is leaving the paper after covering the happens of the paper for the past year. DiStefano left for a position at Bloomberg News.
