Elizabeth Thorp has been in DC for 21 years (she moved here when she was 10, y’all), and thought she was perfectly happy working in PR and politics (and creating the upscale travel site Poshbrood.com) till, she says, a great opportunity just fell in her lap. She’s been Editor-in-Chief of the best luxury and life-style magazine in town, Capitol File, since September and has been having a blast. Niche COO Katherine Nicholls and Capitol File Managing Editor Mandi Norwood wooed her to the job, and since then she has been hard at work bringing more depth and substance to the famously glitzy pub. Recent articles have included a piece by Jake Tapper on the Newseum’s Anchorman exhibit, and a profile of vegan, Hindu Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI). We asked Mizz Thorp to answer a few questions for our latest installment of the FishbowlDC Interview. And, btw, if you wanna check out the new issue of Capitol File, click away!
