HuffPost: NY Post editor Sandra Guzman, who spoke out against a controversial cartoon the paper ran comparing the author of the president’s stimulus package to a dead chimpanzee, has been fired from her job, the paper confirmed.
Politico‘s Mike Allen reported yesterday that David Axelrod met with Fox News chairman and CEO Roger Ailes in NY two weeks ago during the President’s visit to the UN. “The two discussed news coverage and the relationship between the organizations. An FNC spokesperson tells POLITICO that Ailes and Axelrod had a “cordial conversation” over coffee…”
Time‘s Michael Scherer further reports, Axelrod said in an email, “I’ve known Roger for a long time. …We chatted from time to time during the campaign. I was going to be in NY, so we got together for a cup of coffee.”
