Former SecDef Cohen Looking To Get Into Newspaper Business

The Portland Press Herald is up with an article detailing how “About 20 full- and part-time employees of the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel will be laid off this month or will leave their positions voluntarily through buyouts.” It’s another sad day for newspapers…

    A group led by Richard L. Connor, a Bangor native who is editor and publisher of the Times Leader in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., and former U.S. Sen. and Defense Secretary William Cohen is negotiating exclusively to buy Blethen Maine.
