What do they say about the media covering problems that mainly affect the media? Well it appears that there’s a good case to be made that after yesterday’s worm coverage, they’re guilty as charged.

The outages at ABC, CNN, and the New York Times–along with hark! an actual private non-media company or two–are written up in the Post, CNN.com, and the NYT. Few additional details after yesterday’s wall-to-wall CNN coverage (perhaps necessitated by the fact that it appears little other than Wolf Blitzer remained unaffected. Luckily, CNN upgraded The Blitzman to Windows XP just prior to the Situation Room launch so the worm didn’t cause him to shut down and reboot.

As of last night, at least a handful of ABC correspondents and executives were still Blackberry- and email-less.
