17 years ago John McLaughlin, Chris Matthews, Fred Barnes, Eleanor Clift and Clarence Page were debating who then-Governor Clinton would pick to be his running-mate. Back then [Christopher] Matthews wrote for The San Francisco Examiner and Barnes was a only a “syndicated columnist” pre-Weekly Standard. Who did these fabulously-coiffed experts predict?! Hint: it wasn’t the guy who invented the internet.
