    This subject’s a touchy one for us, being part of the Evil Media and all, which is why this event seemed mighty provocative: the Goethe-Institut, along with Newseum/Freedom Forum and other groups, hosts a two-day workshop that looks at the work of political theorist Hannah Arendt (a real optimist, she wrote “Lying in Politics” and other essays). Journalists and historians will be among those addressing her theories on political hucksterism and weakened media. Free.
