To Do: Celebrate Zremski

You know that your social calendar is empty now that the holidays are over. Don’t worry — the National Press Club has planned just the thing to keep the festive spirit alive. On Saturday, January 20, members of DC’s journalism community and dignitaries from Washington and Buffalo, N.Y. will come together to celebrate the inauguration of the National Press Club’s 100th president, Jerry Zremski of the Buffalo News. The Black Tie and Snow Boots Ball (and they’re serious about the snow boots part) promises to be a good time. Political funny man Mark Russell will perform and scrumptious food and wine from Western New York will be served. And yes, there will be an award for Best Snow Boots.

The evening starts at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails and entertainment, followed by dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets to the ball are $85 and can be reserved by calling 202-662-7501. Find more info at www.press.org.
