U.S. News Announces New Senior Management Team

Brian Kelly, the recently appointed editor of U.S.News & World Report, announced today his new senior management team:

• Margaret Mannix and Tim Smart, both previously assistant managing editors, have been named managing editors;

• Karen Chevalier, formerly executive director of news administration, has been promoted to executive director, and

• Ryan Thornburg will remain managing editor of USNews.com.

  Under Kelly’s leadership, this new senior management team will oversee all online and print content, as well as news administration, production, and operations. Mannix, Smart, and Thornburg will ensure the complete integration of all news and consumer journalism for USNews.com and the weekly print magazine. Chevalier will supervise all functions other than editorial content, including research and fact checking, personnel, production, operations, and information technology.
