U.S. News & World Report’s Chief Marketing Officer Lee Wilcox today announced that the magazine is hiring creative agency Energy BBDO “to help us position and market our brand both to consumer and trade audiences.” In an internal email obtained by FishbowlDC, Wilcox says that he’s doing so at “a time when we need to demonstrate to the industry the ongoing commitment to and investment in our brand.”
The release states that “the agency will partner with U.S. News on a strategic repositioning of the brand, which will include brand identity work, as well as a significant multi-channel trade campaign and a future consumer campaign.”
Other Energy BBDO clients (past or present) include Brinker International (Romano’s Macaroni Grill and On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina), DeKuyper digital, Canadian Club whiskey, and Bayer.
