U.S. News & World Report Announce New Web Hire

    U.S.News & World Report announced today the appointment of Chhayal Parikh as a producer for audio and video content for the U.S. News website. Parikh, who started March 26, reports to Matthew Belvedere,’s director of video and audio production.

    Parikh comes to U.S. News from the Associated Press where she worked as multimedia editor in 2006. She oversaw the political website, conducted and produced interviews, monitored the mid-elections in 2006 and created interactive elements for members. She most recently worked for AP’s Online Video Network as a news producer.

    Prior to joining the Associated Press, she worked at the Association for Collegiate Schools of Architecture from 2003 to 2006, where she organized conferences nationally and internationally; created and distributed online company newsletters; developed and edited the website’s layout; and designed graphics for brochures, marketing communications and press releases. From 2001until 2003, Parikh worked as an architectural intern at Powers Brown Architecture in Houston, where she helped develop architectural designs and urban planning for government and private sectors.

    She received her bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Houston in 2000, and a master’s in interactive journalism from American University in 2006.
