No, we’re not going to bore you with another picture of a congressman’s penis. And we’re mostly out of d–k jokes. Not really, but we’ll try to spare you from them for one item.

The Unexpected Headline of the Day is: Congressman battles man-eating super snakes. We know what you’re thinking, ‘What does this have to do with penises?’

While Weiner battles his weiner problem, another congressman, Rep. Tom Rooney (R-Fla.) is trying to work his way into some fame via Animal Planet. The Herald Tribune’s Jeremy Wallace reports today that the congressman will be featured in a doc about the outbreak of poisonous snakes in the Florida Everglades. Rooney wants to ban the snakes from being imported into the region.

The Tribune story discusses the inevitable “Snake Lobby” of Washington D.C. Rooney will appear in the documentary tonight at 8 p.m.
