The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh profiles alumnus Jim VandeHei.

    VandeHei said he believes there is a huge audience in this country that is interested in politics. With this new organization, he is looking to narrow the gap between reader and reporter by “pulling back the curtains” of the political process and providing readers with provocative, genuinely revelatory political journalism.

    “I hope that we affect the political dialogue and affect how people view what’s going on and give them a better understanding of how politics and Washington work,” he said. “That’s always been my goal as a journalist and it’s certainly going to be my goal in this endeavor.”
