WH Reporters Will Soon Need Escorts In Order To Go To The John

The following note was sent to White House reporters:

It has happened yet again! USSS notified me that earlier today several folks with WH press credentials were roaming
the hallways at the Eisenhower Ex. Office Building, and at least one had a network camera.

We are very close to losing this privilege due to this latest violation. A reminder that Deputy Chief of Staff Joe Hagin agreed to
give us EEOB bathroom without an escort, if we promosed:

1.) NOT to roam the halls
2.) NOT to enter any offices
3.) NOT to bring in a camera

A map showing the bathroom location is posted in the temporary trailer. Our agreement was that we would use the bathroom, then
return to the trailer. If a pooler needed to go to ANY other part of the building, he/ she would request an escort from lower press.

According to one senior official, they are now prepared to revert back to the trailer bathroom, which I am certain nobody wants.

In the meantime, PLEASE abide by our agreement. I will keep you posted on whether any changes result from today’s incident.
