What’s Up With The Note?

Are we the only ones to notice that The Note has been a bit different lately?

First, it’s been short (remember, The Note was only three pages on the day after the midterms). Today’s clocked in at only 3 pages.

And, whereas it used to normally a.) link to every relevant article and b.) go into great detail about each piece’s author, publication, general article content and then a pithy comment on whether it’s a “must read” or “the one story you must read this morning,” it has recently (as in the past few days) resorted to just giving you the basics:

POTUS meets the ISG, with restive Hill Republicans chiming in:
    New York Times: LINK

    Washington Post: LINK

Is this a permanent shift in their approach? Or are they just still tired from the midterms?
