Alloy Entertainment To Buy 12 New Books A Year
According to Publishers Weekly, Alloy executive vice-president Josh Bank will helm the project, looking mainly for "women's fiction, young adult, middle grade, and chapter books." Agents are encouraged for manuscripts, but the company will have guidelines for independent authors. Here's more on the pay-scale: "Alloy will pay low five-figure advances against publishing royalties, a departure from its usual model in which writers receive a revenue split. Writers will still receive a split after the advance is earned back." Email This Post |
