Amazon.com, Inc. Sued by Kindle Customers

a.com_logo_RGB-1.jpgAn Amazon Kindle customer in Seattle has filed suit against Amazon.com, Inc. in U.S. District Court, building a suit for Kindle digital reader owners who spotted cracks in their machines while using the official cover for the device.

The Seattle Times outlined the court filing: “[The suit] said the value of the ‘matter in controversy’ exceeds $5 million. It said the class would include buyers of Kindle 2 and Kindle DX models ‘installed in a Kindle Cover designed by Amazon.’”

Kindle customer Matthew Geise filed the suit yesterday. Along with his wife, he hired Beth Terrell, an attorney who handled consumer lawsuits filed against Microsoft, Best Buy, and Qwest. (Via Mike Cane)
