Amazon Releases ‘Best Books Of The Year So Far’ List

Mitchell Zuckoff’s World War II epic memoir Lost in Shangri-La is the best book of the year so far, according to Amazon.

Today the retailer published its annual Best Books of the Year So Far list, which highlights the “best books” released in 2011 between January and June. The list includes a number of different genres from memoir to thriller.

Tina Fey’s Bossypants, the comedienne’s hilarious memoir of how she climbed the ranks of amateur improv groups and madeit to Saturday Night Live, is No. 6 on the list. The Tragedy of Arthur: A Novel by Arthur Phillips, a faux memoir conceived as an introduction to a long-lost Shakespeare play, is No. 5.
