Amazon/Humane Society Lawsuit Still Simmering

Last week’s GalleyCat item about Amazon.com‘s continued support for animal fighting media wound up being cited in a Folio article about the case, which reports that the Humane Society is open to the possibility of settling its lawsuit against the online retailer, aimed at removing two cockfighting magazines from the site’s wares, but “nothing is imminent.” The article does note, however, that the dogfighting DVDs cited in the lawsuit no longer appear on the site, so that’s something.

(Thanks to FishbowlNY editor Ron Mwangaguhunga for spotting the article first. Full disclosure: the reporter, Dylan Stableford, also used to work for mediabistro.com.)
