Anne Hathaway to Star in ‘One Day’ Adaptation

The novel One Day just hit U.S. bookshelves today in a Vintage Books trade paperback, but Random House Films and Focus Features are already preparing to shoot the adaptation on July 12.

David Nicholls‘ book topped bestseller charts in the U.K., and the film version will star Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. It will be directed by Lone Scherfig–the director of the Academy Award-nominated film, An Education. Nicholls has written the screenplay and theatrical release is scheduled for 2011.
