Tommy Haack and Doug Lady of Hal Leonard Publishing posed with Robb Lawrence, the author of The Early Years of The Les Paul Legacy , and the guitar legend himself during a recent signing at Milwaukee's Harry Schwartz Book Shop, scheduled to coincide with the opening of a "House of Sound" tribute to Paul at the Discovery World museum. And that wasn't the only tribute the city accorded the 93-year-old master: I'm told the Brewers let him throw out the first pitch at their game last Friday night, and a downtown bank tower was lit up in the shape of a ’59 Sunburst guitar.

As one might expect from the title, The Early Years... is the first of two volumes; the sequel is scheduled for release early next year.
