Barnes & Noble to Sell Plastic Logic Reader Beside the Nook Digital Reader

image001.jpgToday Barnes & Noble, Inc. (BKS) revealed that they will sell Plastic Logic’s QUE e-reader in their stores and online–placing the eBook reader beside the bookseller’s own digital device, the Nook.

The QUE will debut in January 2010 at an electronics trade show; a thin reader the same size as an 8.5 x 11-inch piece of paper. According to the release, the device is designed for business professionals and the price will be announced in January. The name is pronounced “Q.”

Here’s more about product placement, from the release: “Barnes & Noble will power the online store for QUE, which is coming in 2010 (information can be found [here]). QUE will also be featured near the recently announced nook, the Barnes & Noble eBook reader, on free-standing displays with signage offering Barnes & Noble customers choice based on their reading needs.”
