Last week, I happened to notice an essay about The Golden Compass by fantasy writer Brandon Sanderson. Little did I know at the time that he was closing in on a deal to complete The Wheel of Time, the multi-volume fantasy saga that was left unfinished when Robert Jordan died in Septmeber.
Sanderson will have a few scenes Jordan completed before his death, as well as extensive notes and audio recordings, as he starts work on A Memory of Light. As he tells Publishers Weekly, "I promise to do my very best to remain true to Mr. Jordan's vision and produce the book we have all been waiting to read."
