The mediabistro.com design blog UnBeige has an item up this morning about that "a novel" tag on book jackets, which basically links to a fun-looking item on a blog called Ironic Sans where you can look at 40 of those tags and try to guess what book each one is from.
"I guess just being a work of fiction isn't enough anymore," says David Friedman. "You have to emblazen your book with a category on the cover so the book superstore employees know where it belongs." But hasn't this tag been semi-ubiquitous for at least a decade?
