Books of the Vice Presidential Debate

7447.jpgAs the candidates brush up on global politics and pundits sharpen their knives, GalleyCat took a look at the books behind tomorrow’s Vice Presidential debate.

While she hasn’t written a book yet, Sarah Palin’s story has sold the most books so far. Kaylene Johnson’s tome, Sarah: How a Hockey Mom Turned the Political Establishment Upside Down, has rocketed up to third place on Amazon’s Political Bestseller list–a huge hit for Epicenter Press.

Even Palin imitators are getting in on the action. Today, the New York Post reported that Tina Fey received a six million dollar offer for her own book.

Senator Joseph Biden has his own book, currently ranked 62 among Political Bestsellers on Amazon. It’s called Promises to Keep: On Life and Politics, published by Random House.

Finally, debate moderator Gwen Ifill has her own book coming out in January from Random House, The Breakthrough: Politics and Race in the Age of Obama. That book generated some outraged headlines yesterday, as Politico reported.
