Countryman Press Puts Book Catalog on Twitter

Countryman Press has managed to find a new use for Twitter, putting their entire fall catalog on the microblogging site in 140-word posts–weeks before the old-fashioned catalog is released.

Literary types are obsessed with Twitter–from Twitter book clubs to Twitter hardcovers. The Countrymen Press Twitter page has a long line of posts, summarizing books about Guatemala, barns, and eating healthy in pithy entries.

Here’s an excerpt: “Let the Tweets begin: Our catalog broken down for modern sensibilities and attention spans. Titles will appear in catalog order for Fall 09.” (Via Publishers Marketplace)
