Dateline BEA: Who Else Will Be There?

Sarah and I aren’t the only ones who’ll be covering the BEA action, of course. Newsday reporter Aileen Jacobson resumes her “Inside BookExpo America” blog, and BookTV will be covering a bunch of events, including the Sunday morning breakfast with Anderson Cooper, Richard Ford and Andy Borowitz. Many members of the Litblog Co-op are scheduled to attend, and will undoubtedly write about it at some point. And though I haven’t seen official word of their plans, I expect Publishers Weekly and The Book Standard will be up to something this weekend, as well.

Michael Cader will be posting on Publishers Marketplace, of course, but people are already talking about his pre-BEA thoughts. Marketing expert Seth Godin appreciatively quotes Cader’s open questions to exhibitors. You should definitely check out the entire list (you might even want to subscribe to his newsletter if you don’t already!), but here’s the executive summary: “How hard are you working and how imaginative are you being in making the most of your company’s presence at BEA? What are your messages, what makes them compelling, and how are you getting them across?”
