Dr. Travis Stork Lands Book Deal with Rodale

stork.jpgTelevision personality and health writer Dr. Travis Stork has inked a book deal with Rodale. Stork hosts the Emmy Award-winning show The Doctors. The book will join a growing bookshelf of Men’s Health magazine-inspired titles like the Abs Diet and Eat This, Not That! series.

Men’s Health EIC David Zinczenko acquired the book and it will be co-written by Men’s Health editor Peter Moore. The book will concentrate on “the health consequences of excess abdominal fat,” offering advice for slimming down as well.

Stork had this statement: “I am pleased to build my relationship with Rodale and Men’s Health with this book … I have treated a lot of people who — as a result of weight issues — have suffered from heart attacks, diabetes, and other self-inflicted health problems. I hope this book will arm them with the strategies they need to be more proactive when it comes to managing their health and leading a balanced life.”
