Ellen Sussman Paints the Scene @ the Dirty Words Party

Twenty contributors to Ellen Sussman’s new book, Dirty Words: A Literary Encyclopedia Of Sex showed up at the publication party/dirty word fest at Susan Goodman’s apartment on the Upper West Side last Thursday evening. The walls of the apartment were filled with contemporary art from the Susan Goodman Collection and the rooms were filled with 80 guests, all celebrating sex and literature.

Martha McPhee, Adrienne Brodeur, Joshua Furst, Eric Goodman, Rand Richards Cooper, Thaisa Frank, Mary-Ann Tirone Smith, Amelia Perkins, Natalie Danford, Zoe Rosenfeld, and Adam Wilson were among the contributors who lifted a glass to dirty words – and even shared a few of them. The guests were entertained with essays and stories about cybersex, celibacy, golden showers, hum job, fantasy, MILF, the f bomb, blue balls, 69 – just some of the 97 entries in the book.

UPDATE: David Kelly writing for the NYT Papercuts on Dirty Words says “We can’t mention quite a few of the subjects discussed (or even show you the cover).” Looks like the Times found some news not fit to print.
