Gerald Nicosia Is Full of It, Daddy-O
From the acknowledgments to Why Kerouac Matters, an exegesis on On the Road from NYT reporter John Leland that Viking will publish in September:
“Of the bios, Nicosia’s Memory Babe is the most detailed and best documented. I especially relied on it for details of Kerouac’s childhood, though the bulk of the book is about his decline.”
Apparently the enemies Nicosia called out publicly aren’t all that good at blacklisting a guy. Maybe they’re not trying that hard.
