Go Tell the Spartans: 300 Trailer Now Online
After the commercial success of Sin City, Hollywood couldn’t wait to get another project by writer-artist Frank Miller into production, and the result is 300. Fans of Miller’s depictions of savage violence won’t be disappointed, but the context is far from his usual noir stomping grounds: The graphic novel depicts the Battle of Thermopylae, in which 300 Spartan soldiers did their best to hold off an entire Persian army. Apple is now hosting the official trailer for the Warner Bros. release, due out in 2007. Over at The Beat, Heidi MacDonald discusses how Miller’s novel became the film’s storyboards.
