Hoovering up a possible book deal

Kate Moss might be in rehab after her now-infamous tabloid spread showing her prodigious talent at using her nostrils, but just because she’s tucked away in Arizona, doesn’t mean the publishing world is leaving her alone. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, according to Femalefirst. They cite Bertelsmann (Random House) and Simon & Schuster as being the first out of the gate to lure Moss to tell-all, but some people take umbrage that a book deal might be in the works:

ROSIE BROCKLEHURST, of anti-drugs charity Addiction, warns, “It would be very unscrupulous of publishers and film makers to make approaches so early on in Kate’s drug treatment.
“Sometimes there can be benefit in someone writing down their experiences of how they beat drugs, but only when they have had a sufficient amount of time to recover. It would not benefit anyone, let alone Kate, for there to be a book or film so soon.”

Of course, when houses are mentioned, one wonders who’s actually doing the scouting. Is there anything concrete out there, like a proposal, or is it just wishful thinking masquerading as bullshit? Let us know.
