How To Sell Songs Inside Your eBook

Have you written music inspired by your novel or vice versa? Now you can bring them together.

Cathedral Rock Publishing, a company that makes multimedia publishing tools, has a new application available that lets authors and publishers sell songs from within an eBook. The tool called “Book IS the Store,” is intended for self-published authors who also might also be musicians. Authors and publishers can use the tool to embed songs into their eBook as a soundtrack and then sell the songs as MP3s through links within the store.

Cathedral Rock used this application in the company’s own self-published eBook called Cathedral of the Senses. In the above video, the company demonstrates how the purchase works. A reader can click on the song to be directed to an e-commerce page where they can buy the song. The song is automatically synced with iTunes and the reader can go right back to the page they were reading.
