International Lit Prizes for Boyden & Lee

Congratulations to Joseph Boyden, the winner of this year’s Scotiabank Giller Prize, considered by many Canada’s most prestigious English-language literary award, for his novel Through Black Spruce. And to Nam Le, who was selected as the recipient of the Dylan Thomas Prize for English-language writers under the age of thirty. Le will be reading from his prize-winning debut collection of short stories, The Boat, next Monday night at a private reception sponsored by the National Book Foundation, which recently picked him for its annual “5 Under 35″ tribute to rising young talent.
