Keira Knightley to Star in Kazuo Ishiguro Adaptation

200px-Never_Let_Me_Go.jpgActress Keira Knightley is slated to star in an adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro‘s spooky novel, “Never Let Me Go.”

The production gets underway in April, helmed by “One Hour Photo” director Mark Romanek, reports Variety. The novel centers around a isolated boarding school with ominous secret, making a science fiction twist for Ishiguro–the author of “The Remains of the Day.”

Here’s more about the film company behind the adaptation: “DNA [Films], which has a longstanding partnership with Searchlight, has teamed with the specialty label on a number of films including ‘The Last King of Scotland’ and Danny Boyle‘s ‘Sunshine’ and ’28 Days Later.’” (Via Gawker.)
