Larry McMurtry Named New Books Columnist at Harper’s Magazine
Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Larry McMurtry will serve as Harper’s Magazine‘s regular “New Books” columnist.
McMurtry will take over for the magazine’s regular “New Books” columnist, Zadie Smith. His debut column will appear in the November issue.
Here’s more from the release: “McMurtry is the author of twenty-four novels including The Last Picture Show, Terms of Endearment, and Lonesome Dove, winner of the 1986 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. His nonfiction works include a biography of Crazy Horse, Walter Benjamin at the Last Dairy Queen, Paradise, and Sacagawea’s Nickname: Essays on the American West.
